CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 93-140 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING A YEAR-ROUND PART-TIME <br /> STREET CLOSURE FOR THE FARMERS' MARKET <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Pleasanton Downtown Association and the Pacific Coast <br /> Farmers' Market Association have requested that the City <br /> Council approve an encroachment permit and a temporary <br /> closure of West Angela Street between Main Street and <br /> First Street, between the hours of approximately 7:30 <br /> a.m. and 2:00 p.m., on Saturday mornings, for the <br /> establishment of a Farmers' Market to operate year-round; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council considered the matter during a regularly <br /> scheduled meeting on November 16, 1993; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: A street closure, for the temporary closure to through <br /> traffic on West Angela Street between Main Street and <br /> First Street, is approved for the establishment of a <br /> Farmers' Market, subject to an encroachment permit and <br /> the conditions of approval and performance standards <br /> attached thereto and listed in the attached "Exhibit A". <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> I HEREBY CERTIFY THAT THE FOREGOING WAS DULY AND <br />REGULARLY ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, AT <br />A MEETING HELD ON NOVEMBER 16, 1993 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Dennis, Mohr, Scribner, and Mayor Tarver <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: Councilmember Pico <br /> ATTEST: <br /> <br /> Pe~g~JE~idr~j, City Clerk <br /> <br />Michael H.
