Adopt a resolution authorizing an application with the Metropolitan <br />Transportation Commission (MTC) for $40,000 in Transportation <br />Development Act (TDA) Article 3 funds for the Annual Sidewalk <br />and Intersection Ramp Installations Capital Improvement Project. <br /> <br />SUMMARY: <br /> <br />This report recommends that the City Council adopt the attached resolution <br />approving the application with MTC for Transportation Development Act <br />(TDA) Article 3 funds in the amount of $40,000. These funds will be <br />applied to the Annual Sidewalk and Intersection Ramp Installations Capital <br />Improvement Project. <br /> <br />Honorable Mayor and Members of the City Council: <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />The Transportation Development Act (TDA), Public Utilities Code, ~ 99233.3 and 99234, <br />makes funds available in the nine-county Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) <br />region for pedestrian/bicycle purposes. MTC makes annual allocations of TDA funds to <br />eligible claimants after review of applications submitted. <br />SR:06: 131 <br />Page I of2 <br />
