<br />The State requires a good faith effort to provide sufficient opportunities for meeting these <br />housing needs, and Pleasanton has recognized in its Housing Element the importance of <br />providing housing for all income categories and age groups. While the City has not yet <br />achieved the ABAG targets, as noted above, there has been progress made in all income <br />categories. As can be expected, meeting the very-low income units continues to be the most <br />challenging target and as a result, the Housing Element contains policies and programs which <br />place a high priority on striving to meet these and other affordable housing goals.
