Project Summaries <br /> <br />This year's program.q contain $14,048,177 of funded FY 1993/94 projects. A summary of the major <br />projects includes: <br /> <br /> STREETS <br /> <br /> · Provide $2,050,000 for the completion of the Main Street Reconstruction Project <br /> currently underway. This amount represents an increase of $183,900 over the <br /> $1,866,100 budget approved earlier this year with this addition total project cost <br /> is estimated at $3,023,000 (pg. 1). <br /> <br /> · Provide $366,000 to resurface various City streets (pg.2) and $65,000 for the annual <br /> street slurry seal project (pg. 3). <br /> <br /> · Provide $945,100 to construct bike paths along the Arroyo de la Laguna from the <br /> Arroyo Mocho to the Contra Costa County line and between the Arroyo Del <br /> Valle and Pleasanton Canal (pgs. 11,12). <br /> <br /> PARKS <br /> <br /> · Renovate and expand the Aquatic Center bathhouse at a cost of $425,000 (pg. 13). <br /> <br /> · Complete Phase II of Pleasanton Tennis and Community Park which consists of <br /> constructing a permanent facility to replace the existing temporary trailer. Cost <br /> for the project is $388,500 (pg. 14). <br /> <br /> NOTE: These projects have been recommended by the City Park and Recreation Commission. <br /> <br /> MISCELLANEOUS <br /> <br /> · Provide $150,000 for Downtown improvements including benches, planters and <br /> bike racks (pg. 24). <br /> <br /> · Provide $1,000,000 to purchase a new 800MHz radio system. Radios will be <br /> installed in City Dial-A-Ride, Police and Fire vehicles and clean-up channel <br /> capacity for Public Works. The. system is expected to be fully operational ~v <br /> September/October. This project has been planned over the past five years and <br /> will address deficiencies in the existing public safety radio system.
