<br />Alameda County Transportation Improvement Authority <br />Special Transportation for Seniors and People with Disabilities <br /> <br />Alameda County Measure B <br />Fares <br />City of Pleasanton (Local match) <br /> <br />$86,615 <br />$46,000 <br />$447,808 <br /> <br />Total Budget <br /> <br />$641,240 <br /> <br /> <br />Describe planned outreach to ensure that potential users of the services (including <br />coordinated services) learn about them. <br /> <br />Response: <br /> <br />Marketing ofPPS is completed through the City of Pleasant on's Parks and Community <br />Services Department PPS is promoted in a quarterly Activities Guide, which is distributed to <br />all Pleasanton residents. <br /> <br />The PPS Rider's Guide is distributed to all PPS clients, This is an effective marketing tool <br />and is available at local stores, medical offices, the library, senior housing complexes, and <br />service centers. <br /> <br />A one page PPS flyer has been developed as an inexpensive marketing tool to use in mass <br />mailings and distribution. <br /> <br />The Pleasanton Senior Center produces a quarterly newsletter, which includes information <br />regarding the Paratransit Services, as well as other public transit <br /> <br />A new paratransit newsletter, "Around Town with PPS", was created in January 2006, and <br />sent to all PPS clients, PPS drop off locations, senior housing areas, and other community <br />agencies. This publication was well received, and will be produced twice a year. <br /> <br />The first PPS Transit Fair was held on March 17,2006, and was well attended. The goal of <br />the Fair was to have a variety of transit providers available to answer questions and provide <br />information on Bay Area wide transit opportunities. <br /> <br />PPS regularly participates in the annual Pleasanton Hometown Holiday Parade, which <br />attracts over 10,000 people. <br /> <br />The City of Pleasant on's website (www.ci.pleasanton.ca.us) includes a City PPS information <br />page and application. <br /> <br />All PPS customers are given Access Alameda Transit Guides as part of the new client packet <br />for regionally coordinated transit <br /> <br />Local transit information is coordinated through collaborative marketing efforts with <br />LA VT A.
