Authorize the City Manager to execute the attached agreement. <br />3, Authorize the City Manager to amend the contract by up to 20 percent of <br />the total cost as a contingency for services not described within the <br />current scope of work. <br /> <br />Staff has negotiated an agreement with EIP Associates for professional <br />services related to the proposed Stoneridge Drive Specific Plan Amendment/ <br />Staples Ranch Project. Under the terms of its agreement, EIP Associates <br />would prepare a Draft and Final Environmental Impact Report on this <br />project and alternatives, for a total cost of$161,446, Staffis also requesting <br />authority for the City Manager to amend the contract to increase the contract <br />cost by up to 20 percent as a contingency to cover any necessary services <br />not described within the scope of work. <br /> <br />Honorable Mayor and Members of the City Council: <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />In a separate item on this agenda, the City Council is being asked to approve a Memorandum of <br />Understanding that outlines a process and timeline for reviewing an amendment to the <br />Stoneridge Drive Specific Plan and other discretionary approvals that would allow for <br /> <br />SR06: 101 <br />Page I of2 <br />
