Resolution No. 93-103 <br />Page Two <br /> <br />Section 2: The Policy Concerninq Term Limitations for Mayor and <br /> Councilmembers <br /> <br /> A. A Pleasanton City Councilmember (other than Mayor) <br /> shall serve no more than two consecutive terms <br /> (each term is four years) and a person who has been <br /> appointed or elected to Council for more than two <br /> years shall serve no more than one additional term. <br /> <br /> B. A Pleasanton Mayor shall serve no more than four <br /> consecutive terms (each term is two years) and a <br /> person who has been appointed or elected to Mayor <br /> for more than one year shall serve no more than <br /> three additional terms. <br /> <br />Section 3: Publishinq Notice of Deadline for Ballot Arquments, <br /> Submission of Ballot Arquments and Impartial Analysis. <br /> <br /> a. By August 6, 1993, the City Clerk shall publish or <br /> post a notice regarding the deadlines for submittal <br /> of ballot arguments concerning the measures. <br /> <br /> b. The last day for submission of direct arguments for <br /> or against the measures shall be 5:00 p.m. on <br /> August 16, 1993. <br /> <br /> c. The last day for submission of rebuttal arguments <br /> for and against the measures shall be 5:00 p.m. on <br /> August 26, 1993. <br /> <br /> d. The City Council designates Mayor Tarver and <br /> Councilmembers Dennis, Pico and Scribner to prepare <br /> arguments in favor of the advisory measure <br /> concerning term limitations. <br /> <br /> e. The City Council designates Mayor Tarver and <br /> Councilmembers Dennis and Pico to submit arguments <br /> in opposition to the approval of the Kottinger <br /> Hills development plan. <br /> <br /> f. Direct arguments shall not exceed 300 words and <br /> shall be signed by not more than five persons. <br /> <br /> g. Rebuttal arguments shall not exceed 250 words and <br /> shall be signed by not more than five persons. <br /> <br /> <br />
