Definitions. <br /> <br /> The following definitions pertain to terms utilized <br /> in this Procedure, in order to provide clarity and consistency. <br /> <br /> 1. "Parking penaltT': includes, but is not limited <br />to the applicable civil penalty for the. violation specified in the <br />citation, toga=her with any late payment penalty, administrative <br />fee, assessment, process service fees, or-other costs of collection <br />related to civil debt collection. <br /> <br /> 2. "Citation": includes, but is not limited_ to <br />notices of parking or standing violation, and notices of delinquent <br />violation. <br /> <br /> 3. "~dministrative revieW': the initial citation <br />review process, initiated by a ccntes~ant's timely request, and <br />conducted bY the City Police Department-staff. <br /> <br /> 4. "A~ninistrative h~g": a hearing process <br />with respect to a citation, conductec~ in accordance with the <br />procedures specified heroin, initiated b[ a timely written request <br />of a contestant dissatisfied with the results of the administrative <br />review. <br /> <br /> 5. Appeal": the action taken by a contestant to <br />request an administrative hearing. <br /> <br /> 6. "Farking violation"'." any violation of any <br />regulation governing the standing or parking of a vehicle under the <br />California Vehicle Code, under any federal or state statute or <br />regulation, or under any City of Pleasanton ordinance. <br /> <br />7. "Contestant": any person or entity who is the <br />registered owner, driver, rantee or lessee who i s 1 iable for <br />parking penalties in accordance with the provisions of California <br />Vehicle Code Sections 42000, et. seq., axed who contests or disputes <br />liability for the parking penalties. <br /> <br /> -2- <br /> <br /> <br />
