Resolution No. 99-022 <br />Page Two <br /> <br /> Alamo Canal Trail Gap Closure $500,000; Stoneridge Drive Park-N-Ride and <br /> HOV Bypass $500,000, and Signal Interconnect and Connection to TOS: <br /> Pleasanton, Dublin, Livermore $3,000,000; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, MTC requires, as part of the application a resolution stating the following: <br /> <br /> 1. The commitment of necessary local matching funds of at least 11.5%; and <br /> <br /> 2. That the sponsor understands that the Surface Transportation Program and <br /> Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Improvement Program funding is <br /> fixed at the programmed amount, and therefore any cost increase cannot be <br /> -expected to be funded with Surface Transportation Program or Congestion <br /> Mitigation and Air Quality Improvement Program funds; and <br /> <br /> 3. The assurance of the sponsor to complete the project is described in the <br /> application, and if approved, as programmed in MTC's TIP. <br /> <br /> 4. That the sponsor understands that funds must be obligated by September 30, <br /> 2000, or the project may be removed from the program. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Authorizes the City Manager or her designee to file an application for federal <br /> Surface Transportation Program and Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality <br /> Improvement Program funding for three projects. <br /> <br />Section 2: The Alameda County Congestion Management Agency will provide $511,000, <br /> 11.5% in local matching funds. <br /> <br />Section 3: The City of Pleasanton understands that the Surface Transportation Program and <br /> Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Improvement Program funding for the <br /> projects is fixed at $442,500, $491,175 and $3,000,000, and that any cost increases <br /> must be funded by other local matching funds, and that the City of Pleasanton does <br /> not expect any cost increases to be funded with Surface Transportation Program or <br /> the Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Improvement Program funds. The City <br /> of Pleasanton will assure that the projects will be capable of phased construction or <br /> implementation so that there will be no cost overruns. <br /> <br /> lr I I <br /> <br /> <br />
