8,2 Retirement Plans <br /> <br /> The specific plans provided management and confidential <br /> employees are as follows: <br /> <br /> Miscellaneous management and confidential employees <br /> shall be provided the PERS 2% @ 60 plan to include <br /> the following options: 1959 Survivors Benefit to <br /> include Section 21382.2 benefits, credit for unused <br /> sick leave, and one highest year compensation. <br /> Effective April 1. 1996, the 2% @ 60 retirement <br /> plan shall be replaced by the PERS 2% @ 55 <br /> retirement plan. <br /> <br /> Public safety management employees shall be <br /> provided the PERS 2% @ 50 plan to include the <br /> following options: 1959 Survivors Benefit, credit <br /> for unused sick leave benefit (except for Police <br /> Management personnel), and one highest year <br /> compensation. <br /> <br />S.3 F%Vment - EmDlovee's Contribution <br /> <br /> The city shall pay the employee's contribution to PERS. <br /> Each employee may, once during the term of his/her <br /> employment with the City, convert the city's payment of <br /> his/her PERS contribution to salary. The decision to <br /> convert, once made, shall be irrevocable. Prior to June <br /> 30, the City will address the PERS decision to disallow <br /> said conversions in the computation of retirement <br /> compensation after June 30, 1994. <br /> <br />Section 9. Uniforms <br /> <br /> The city shall provide fifty percent (50%) of the initial <br /> purchase price of uniforms of those management employees <br /> required to wear a uniform. For the classifications of <br /> Police Lieutenant, the city shall provide an annual <br /> uniformallowance of $630.00. For the classifications of <br /> Fire Marshal, Fire Battalion Chief, and Fire Training <br /> Officer, the city shall provide a uniform allowance of <br /> $312.00. In the event the uniform allowance paid non <br /> management employees increases, the City Manager will <br /> also increase the managers' allowance. <br /> <br />section 10. Credit Union <br /> <br /> The city shall provide a voluntary payroll deduction <br /> option for those employees who wish to join the City and <br /> County Employees Credit Union for the purpose of <br /> <br /> - 13 - <br /> <br /> <br />
