holidays must be observed in the calendar year in which <br /> they are credited. <br /> <br />Section 7-4 Vacation <br /> <br />7.4(1} Vacation ElicibilitvlAllowance <br /> Management and confidential employees shall accrue <br /> vacation with pay in accordance with the following <br /> schedule: <br /> <br /> Years of Service ~o~r Accrual Rate Per Month <br /> First through fourth 6,667 <br /> Fifth through ninth 10.000 <br /> Tenth through fourteenth 13.334 <br /> Fifteenth 14,000 <br /> Sixteenth 14,667 <br /> Seventeenth 15.334 <br /> Eighteenth 16.000 <br /> Nineteenth and above 16.667 <br /> <br /> The maximum monthly accrual rate shall be 16,667 hours. <br /> 7.4(3) Vacation Leave Deficits ~n4 Accumulation <br /> <br /> A. Regular confidential employees, may be allowed to <br /> incur a forty (40) hour deficit of vacation leave <br /> beyond accrued leave. <br /> <br /> B. The maximum vacation hours management or <br /> confidential employees may accumulate by his/her <br /> anniversary date shall not exceed twice his/her <br /> annual vacation entitlement. If employment <br /> circumstances are such that an employee is not <br /> permitted to take all, or a portion of, his/her <br /> vacation, the employee may request permission from <br /> the city manager to carry over said unused vacation <br /> to the next year. <br /> <br /> 7,4(4) Vacation Schedule/UsaGe <br /> <br /> A. The scheduled use of vacation shall be approved in <br /> advance by the employee's supervisor. <br /> <br /> B. Except for confidential employees, vacation leaves <br /> of less than the employee's regular work day shall <br /> not be deducted from the employee's accrued <br /> vacation leave balance. <br /> <br /> - 8 - <br /> <br /> <br />
