CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 94-32 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION SELECTING PROJECTS FOR GROWTH <br /> MANAGE1VIENT PROJECTS APPROVALS FOR 1994 AND <br /> FUTURE YEARS AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br /> MANAGER TO SIGN DOCU1MF~NTS, INCLUDING <br /> SUBDIVISION AGIlEEIVIENTS, CONSISTENT TtW~REWITtI <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in 1993, the City Council made comprehensive revisions to the City's Growth <br /> Management Program including adopting Ordinance 1614, revising the Growth <br /> Management Allocation Program (" Growth Management Program "); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the goal of the Growth Management Program is that new growth management <br /> allocations not exceed annually the General Plan maximum and will be based on <br /> the Council's determination of the City's housing needs and infrastructure <br /> availability; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in granting growth management approval to new projects, Council will allocate <br /> units only after accommodating shifts in allocations for previously approved <br /> projects and generally only if space is available after accommodating prior <br /> approved projects; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Prudential Insurance Company had requested that its 231 approvals in 1995 <br /> for its Spanish Oaks project be reallocated to 1997 but only if the Council grants <br /> growth management approval to Signature Properties' Hacienda Projects as set <br /> forth in Option E of the planning department's March 15, 1994 staff report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of March 15, 1994, the City Council considered the report of its <br /> Growth Management Committee and the Director of Planning and Community <br /> Development (SR 94:90); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, based upon the information presented in the report and in City Council's review <br /> of the proposed schedule of allocations, the City Council finds that the projects <br /> and schedule of development further the public interest and further the City's <br /> General Plan policies; <br /> <br /> <br />
