C ; [of Pleasanton <br /> FF REP 0 R r <br /> <br /> January 4, 1994 <br /> Finance Department <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Adoption of 1993-94 Miscellaneous Capital <br /> Improvement Program Budget <br /> <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that Council adopt the <br /> proposed Miscellanous Capital Improvement <br /> Program Budget for the 1993-94 fiscal <br /> year. <br /> <br />SXIMMARY: To date, the Streets, Water, Sewer and Parks <br /> Capital Improvement Program budgets have been <br /> adopted for 1993-94; leaving only Miscellaneous to <br /> be adopted. <br /> <br />Honorable Mayor and Members 'of the Council: <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />Staff presented the 1993-94/1997-98 Capital Improvement Program to <br />the City Council on June 29, and recommended that the 1993-94 <br />program budget be approved as proposed. However, Council requested <br />additional time to review the budget, especially given that this <br />was the first CIP to be adopted by our two newest Councilmembers. <br />Council requested additional information regarding staff's <br />prioritization of the projects, an additional review of the revenue <br />sources, and one or more workshops as needed. <br /> <br /> On August 17, 1993, the more routine Capital Improvement projects <br /> were adopted. These included the Streets, Water, and Sewer <br /> projects, as well as the annual lease p'drchase payments for City <br /> facilities. However, Council asked that a workshop be scheduled <br /> with the Parks & Recreation Commission to discuss Park project <br /> priorities, and the use of both Park Dedication In-lieu fees and <br /> Miscellaneous CIP fees for Park projects.
