Section 18. Uniforms <br /> The City shall provide at its expense required protective <br /> clothing and footwear. For new employees the City shall <br /> pay fifty percent (50 %) of the cost of original uniform <br /> requirements: three (3) shirts, three (3) pants, belt, <br /> boots, and any other required uniform. <br /> Uniform changes initiated by the City shall be made at the <br /> expense of the City. <br /> All employees covered by this Agreement shall wear the <br /> same uniforms. <br /> Effective July 1, 1988, those employees required to wear <br /> prescribed uniform shall receive an annual uniform <br /> maintenance allowance of $312.00 payable on April 1 of <br /> each year; provided, however, that if the payment date <br /> follows by less than six (6) months the date of <br /> appointment of such an employee, no such uniform <br /> maintenance allowance for said employee shall be <br /> forthcoming until the succeeding annual payment date. <br /> Section 19. Credit Union <br /> The City shall implement a voluntary payroll deduction <br /> option for those employees who wish to join the City and <br /> Count Employees Credit Union for the purposes of <br /> transacting business with such City and County Employees <br /> Credit Union. <br /> Section 20. Educational Incentive Pay Program /Tuition <br /> Reimbursement <br /> 20.1 Educational Incentive Pay <br /> Employee receiving educational incentive pay as of August <br /> 31, 1990 shall continue to receive said pay except as <br /> provided for in Appendix A. Employees having enrolled in <br /> the educational incentive pay plan on or before July 1, <br /> 1988 shall upon completion of five years of service with <br /> the City of Pleasanton Fire Department receive educational <br /> incentive pay as provided in Appendix A. <br /> 20.2 Tuition Reimbursement <br /> Regular employees shall be eligible for reimbursement of <br /> tuition expenses for college or university courses <br /> successfully completed with a grade of "C" or better, <br /> provided said courses have been approved in advance by the <br /> Fire Chief and are taken from an educational institution <br /> - 22 - <br />
