Landscape District 1984-1 (see attached diagram). At the meeting of June 6, 1995, the City Council approved the Engineer's Report relating to this assessment district and scheduled a public hearing per the requirements of the State of California Landscape and Lighting Act of 1972. A copy of this report is attached for your reference. The assessments for the coming year will remain at $51.00 per parcel, the same as last year's figure. With a total of 343 parcels in the district, this year's total assessment will be approximately $17,493. This amount will be sufficient to fund the maintenance of all common areas including water and electrical costs, County assessment fees, City administration fees, and a small contingency for emergency work or the repair of vandalism. It should be noted that last year's actual expenditures for the maintenance and administration of this project totalled $18,101. The $908.00 difference between last year's assessment ($17,193) and the actual expenditures for maintenance ($18,101) were covered by the fund balance for this project. Recently, sealed bids were received from seven landscape contractors for the annual maintenance of this project. The bids ranged from a high of $16,400 to a low of $7,559. The low bid was submitted by Coast Landscape Management of Benicia, and this dollar amount was then used in Part "B" of this report, the Estimated Cost of Maintenance for 1995-96. The City Council is asked to confirm the Engineer's Report and levy the annual assessment for the continuing care of this Landscape District. FISCAL IMPACT All costs related to Landscape District 1984-1 are paid for through annual assessments. There is no financial impact to the City of Pleasanton. Respectfully submitted, A.
