Jerry Wertzer, 3358 Vermont Place, stated his support for handball and discussed a handball <br /> facility in another state. <br /> <br /> Bernie Samet, 19 Corrillo Drive, San Rafael, teaches handball and offered to teach at the <br /> Pleasanton facility at no charge. <br /> <br /> Ralph Martinez, Dublin, expressed his support for handball. <br /> <br /> Joseph Sicat, 2741 Longspur Way, suggested sinking one of the basketball courts to <br /> accommodate in-line skating since there are already a lot of basketball courts in town. <br /> <br /> Mike Kabealo, 871 Gray Fox Circle, stated his support for in-line. He feels tennis is mainly an <br /> adult sport and something needs to be done for the teens. <br /> <br /> Jay Henderson, 301 Salem Court, San Ramon, feels in-line skating is an outstanding sport. He <br /> also expressed support for a handball facility. <br /> <br /> Tom Murphy, 498 Los Rios Court, presented a petition with 48 signatures from tennis players <br /> who agree with Concept C and did not feel in-line should be included in the park. He stated the <br /> Task Force was supportive of in-line, as were the people he spoke to at the Tennis Park, but just <br /> did not feel it should be located at this park, as they felt an in-line facility should be studied <br /> more thoughtfully. <br /> <br />Steve Michoff, 7849 Paseo Santa Cruz, lives directly across from the park and was a member of <br />'the Task Force. He expressed support for Concept C on behalf of the immediate neighborhood <br />and presented a petition with 27 signatures. He also spoke about handball and asked that <br />consideration be given to designing the two practice walls so it would be possible in the future to <br />turn them into handball courts if more handball courts are needed. <br /> <br />Bob Adamson, 6817 Corte Munras, spoke in favor of Concept C. He noted the Task Force <br />discussed the noise factor if in-line were included at the park. <br /> <br />Mike Virani, 7813 Paseo Santa Cruz, presented a petition of about 75 signatures from neighbors <br />of the park stating their support of Concept C. He stated he supports in-line skating but feels <br />they need to look at a more appropriate location for it. <br /> <br />Steve Nerad, 7922 Rivera Court, stated he was a member of the Task Force. He feels Concept <br />C is the best option. He is also a tennis player and pointed out that although there are a number <br />of tennis courts in town, very few are lit.
