Field TraininQ Officer Pay <br /> <br /> Qualified Field Training Officers having been given a <br /> training assignment by a supervisor shall receive an <br /> amount equal to five percent (5%) of their regular <br /> monthly pay for each month in which they spend forty (40) <br /> hours training. If the hours spent training are less <br /> than forty in a month, the officer shall receive 5% of <br /> their regular hourly rate of pay for each hour spent <br /> training. <br /> <br />6.3 actin~ Lieutenan~ PaY <br /> <br /> A police sergeant assigned by the police chief to serve <br /> as acting lieutenant for a minimum consecutive period of <br /> seven (7) days shall receive a sum equal to five percent <br /> (5%) of their regular hourly rate of pay for each hour <br /> worked in said acting assignment. <br /> <br />6.4 On Call Pay <br /> <br /> Employees who on their scheduled days off duty are placed <br /> on an on call status bya supervisor for a minimum period <br /> of eight (S) hours or more shall receive an amount equal <br /> to fifteen percent (15%) of their hourly base rate of pay <br /> for each hour spent on call. <br /> <br />6.5 Entrance Salary <br /> <br /> The entrance salary for a new employee entering the City <br /> service shall be the minimum salary for the class to <br /> which he/she is appointed. When circumstances warrant, <br /> the Appointing Authority may authorize original <br /> appointment or reinstatement at other than the minimum <br /> rate. <br /> <br />6.6 Conversion of Pay Rates <br /> <br /> Any monthly rate of pay may be converted into any <br /> equivalent rate of pay or to any other time basis when, <br /> in the judgment of the City Manager, such a conversion is <br /> advisable. In determining the equivalent amounts on <br /> different time basis, the City Manager shall provide <br /> tables or regulations for use in converting monthly <br /> salaries to hourly rates, as well as for calculating <br /> hourly rates. <br /> <br />6.7 Salary Advancement <br /> <br /> Permanent and probationary employees serving in regular <br /> established positions shall be advanced from the "A" Step <br /> to the "B" Step in their respective classifications after <br /> completion of twelve (12) months of full time <br /> satisfactory service, and thereafter shall be advanced to <br /> the next higher step after completion of one (1) year of <br /> <br /> -5- <br /> <br /> <br />
