CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 95-38 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING A PROGRAM FOR <br /> FUNDING HOUSING AND COMMUNITY <br /> DEVELOPMENT (HCD) PROJECTS WITH FEDERAL <br /> COMMUNI~ DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT <br /> (CDBG) FUNDS FOR FISCAL YEAR 1995-96 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds are distributed to <br /> metropolitan cities, urban counties, states, and consortia of local <br /> governments by the Department of Housing and Urban Development <br /> (HUD); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, HUD requires a minimum period of one year for a jurisdiction's CDBG <br /> program for the purposes of planning and implementation; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton is a HUD Entitlement City and will be submitting a <br /> Final Statement with projects for CDBG funding for Fiscal Year 1995/96; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the use of City Lower Income Housing Funds <br /> to supplement CDBG funds is an appropriate use under certain conditions <br /> as listed in Resolution No. 94-80, adopted in July 1994; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of April 4, 1995, the City Council reviewed the report of the <br /> Director of Parks and Community Services (SR 95:106) regarding the <br /> proposed CDBG program for Fiscal Years 1995/96 and 1996/97; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Council approves the funding program for the City's Community <br /> Development Block Grant (CDBG) program for Fiscal years 1995/96 and <br /> 1996/97 as depicted on the attached Table A, including the allocation of <br /> City Housing Funds to four projects in the amount of $97,500 in FY <br /> 1995/96 and $30,000 in FY 1996/97. <br /> <br /> <br />
