Resolution No. 95-08 <br />Page 4 <br /> <br /> each Committee member, local newspapers of general circulation, and <br /> anyone who has filed with the City Clerk or the Economic Development <br /> Manager a written request for notice. Notice of meetings shall comply in <br /> all respects with Section 54950 et seq., of the Government Code, known <br /> commonly as the Ralph M. Brown Act. <br /> <br /> C. Subcommittees shall meet at least quarterly with time and place and date <br /> set by the subcommittees. <br /> <br /> D. All meetings shall be public; agendas shall be prepared; minutes of all <br /> meetings shall be kept and filed by the Economic Development Manager. <br /> <br />Section 5: Committee members shall serve as follows: <br /> <br /> A. Members shall serve four year terms with a maximum of two terms. <br /> <br /> B. In the case of a vacancy, an appointment shall be made for the remainder <br /> of the term in the same manner as the original appointment. <br /> <br /> C. Persons appointed to the Committee shall continue to serve as members <br /> except when: <br /> <br /> 1. The member's term expires; <br /> 2. The member voluntarily resigns from the Committee; <br /> 3. The member is absent from three of eight regular Committee/ <br /> subcommittee meetings within one calendar year; or <br /> 4. Any other reason the City Council deems reasonable. <br /> <br />Section 6: A simple majority of current n~embership sh'idl constitute a quorum. A meeting <br /> at which a quorum is initially present may continue to transact business, <br /> notwithstanding the withdrawal of members, if any action taken is approved by <br /> at least a majority of the required quorum. A simple majority of the quorum <br /> shall be required to conduct business. <br /> <br />Section 7: Committee officers shall be selected and serve as follows: <br /> <br /> A. The Committee, by majority vote, shall elect for a term of one year a <br /> chairperson and vice chairperson from among its members. Officers shall <br /> be elected at the October meeting and assume office at the following <br /> January meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />
