B EMT Pay <br />Employees in the classifications represented by the Union shall be paid EMT pay equal to two point <br />five percent (2.5 %) of the regular rates of pay set forth in Section 5.1 of this memorandum of <br />understanding. <br />Effective for twelve months, from a date that is prior to 8/1/99 and will be specified by Local <br />1974, the City of Pleasanton will pay an additional one percent (1.0 %) EMT to its Firefighters. <br />Such payment will be discontinued at the end of the twelve month period. <br />C. Career Development <br />On February 1, 1997, Pleasanton Engineers receive a point six percent (.6 %) increase to start the <br />implementation of a ten (10) step salary plan for Pleasanton. With the raise on August 1, 1997, <br />all Pleasanton personnel will be moved into the ten (10) step career development plan and salary <br />schedule. <br />p Health and Welfare Coverage <br />Hospital and Medical Care - Ac tive Fmolovee% <br />Effective July 1, 1988, the City shall contribute an amount necessary to provide hospital and <br />medical care benefits under either the present blue Cross Plan, Kaiser S -1 Plan or, Foundation <br />Health Plan I for the individual employee and a portion of the amount necessary to provide <br />coverage for eligible dependents provided, however, in no event shall the City be obligated to <br />contribute a monthly amount in excess of the monthly premium for the Kaiser S -1 Health Plan full <br />family coverage. <br />Health & Medicare Coverage Retiree% <br />Effective July I, 1986, employees having retired from service on or after their fiftieth (50th) <br />birthday, the City shall reimburse upon receipt of proper documentation an amount not to exceed <br />seventy -five dollars ($75.00) per month toward the cost of self procured medical plan coverage. <br />Said reimbursement shall cease on the employee's seventieth (70th) birthday. <br />Effective August 31, 1990, for all employees who retire from service after August 31, 1990, the <br />City shall pay for each year of service, four percent (4 %) of the monthly premium for employee <br />and one dependent of the City's current Kaiser S -I Health Plan coverage. Effective August 31, <br />1990 for all employees who retire for disability after August 31, 1990 the City shall pay a <br />percentage of the monthly premium for employee and one dependent of the City's current Kaiser <br />S -1 Health Plan coverage in accordance with the schedule set forth below: <br />29 <br />
