Section 5. City_ Rights <br /> <br /> The rights of the City include, but are not limited to, the exclusive right to determine the <br /> mission of its constituent departments, commissions and boards; set standards of service; <br /> determine the procedures and standards of selection for employment and promotion; <br /> direct its employees, take disciplinary action, relieve its employees from duty because of <br /> lack of work or for other legitimate reasons; maintain the efficiency of govemmental <br /> operations; determine the methods, means and personnel by which government <br /> operations are to be conducted; determine the content of job classifications; take all <br /> necessary actions to carry out its mission in emergencies; to exercise complete control <br /> and discretion over its organization and the technology of performing its work. <br /> <br />Section 6. Salaries <br /> <br /> 6-1 Salary, Ad_iustments <br /> <br /> Effective November 2, 1996, the following classifications shall receive equity salary <br /> increases as specified. The increases shall be implemented prior to implementation of the <br /> five percent (5%) salary increase for all represented classifications effective November 2, <br /> 1996, as set forth in the paragraph below. <br /> <br /> percent Equi_ty Acl_iustment <br /> <br /> Sr. Recreation Supervisor 8.5% <br /> Recreation Supervisor 8.5% <br /> St. Recreation Leader 8.5% <br /> <br /> Associate Planner 4.0% <br /> <br /> Supv. Police Dispatcher 8.0% <br /> Sr. Police Dispatcher 8.0% <br /> Police Dispatcher 8.0% <br /> <br /> Community Service Officer 6.0% <br /> Parking Enforcement Officer 6.0% <br /> <br /> Effective November 2, 1996, the salary ranges of all classifications represented by the <br /> Association, except Housing Specialist, Utility Assistant, and Utility Billing Assistant, <br /> shall be increased five percent (5%). Effective November 2, 1996, the salary range of <br /> Housing Specialist shall be increased to equal the salary range of GIS Coordinator as of <br /> November 2, 1996. Effective November 2, 1996, the salary range of Utility Assistant <br /> shall be increased to equal the salary range of Accounting Assistant I as of November 2, <br /> 1996.
