CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 96-109 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING A REVISED FREEWAY <br /> AGREEMENT TO SUPERSEDE TWO FREEWAY <br /> AGREEMENTS BETWEEN THE STATE OF <br /> CALIFORNIA AND THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, <br /> ONE DATED AUGUST 4, 1992 RELATING TO THAT <br /> PORTION OF STATE HIGHWAY ROUTE 580 FROM <br /> THE EASTERN CITY LIMIT OF PLEASANTON NEAR <br /> STACEY COURT TO THE WESTERN CITY LIMITS <br /> OF PLEASANTON NEAR LAS PALMAS DRIVE AND <br /> THE OTHER DATED MAY 17, 1988 RELATING TO <br /> THAT PORTION OF STATE ROUTE 680 FROM 0.6 <br /> KILOMETER SOUTH OF ROUTE 580 TO <br /> PLEASANTON'S NORTHERN CITY LIMITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the State and the City of Pleasanton have entered into Freeway <br /> Agreements, one dated August 4, 1992 relating to that portion of State <br /> Highway Route 580 from the East City Limits near Stacey Court to the <br /> West City Limits near Las Palmas Drive and another dated May 17, 1988 <br /> relating to that portion of State Highway Route 680 from 0.6 miles south of <br /> Stoneridge Drive to Route 580 to Pleasanton's Northern City Limits; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, studies show that it is necessary to construct a direct connector ramp and <br /> local access ramps to reduce traffic congestion for existing conditions and <br /> planned future growth; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the cost of construction of the connector and ramps shall be borne by the <br /> Alameda County Transportation Authority; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a plan map has been prepared by the Department of Transportation showing <br /> the construction of the connector and ramps as it affects streets of the City; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the State of California, through its Department of Transportation, requests <br /> that the City (by resolution) approve the construction of the connector and <br /> ramps, and make changes affecting City streets as shown on the plan map; <br /> and <br /> <br /> <br />
