(a) Regular Meetings. There will be three plarmed~neetings. The proposed meeting <br /> schedule is as follows: October 1996, December 1996, and February 1997. The final <br /> meeting will be timed to complete the proposed Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement <br /> no later than February 7, 1997. <br /> <br /> Co) Special Meetings. The policy committee shall hold sufficient special meetings to <br /> insure completion of the project in a timely manner. <br /> <br /> (c) Location of Meetings. Meeting locations will be mutually selected by the policy <br /> committee. <br /> <br /> (d) Call. Notice. and Conduct of Meetings. All meetings of the policy committee shall <br /> be called, noticed, held and conducted in accordance with the provisions of the <br /> Government Code. The host city shall be responsible for all required public notices. <br /> <br />Section 1.5 Required Votes. All actions taken to develop the proposed agreement must receive <br /> unanimous approval. <br /> <br />Section 1.6 Minutes. The host city shall be responsible for preparation and distribution of <br /> minutes. The minutes shall be forwarded in a timely manner to each Policy <br /> Committee Member, City Manager and Fire Chief. <br /> <br />Section 1.7 Limitations. The purpose of the Joint Powers Agreement will be to provide fire <br /> protection services for the Dublin, Livemore and Pleasanton areas; its purpose will <br /> not be to determine if, when or how any of the three cities approve development <br /> within their respective jurisdictions. <br /> <br /> ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE <br /> <br />Section2.1 Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson. The Policy Committee shall select a <br /> Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson from its membership. <br /> <br />Section 2.2 Technical Staff, The City Managers and Fire Chiefs, from each Participating <br /> Agency, shall work as a group to prepare the Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement. <br /> The technical staff shall select a Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson to coordinate <br /> technical staff efforts. <br /> <br />Section 3.1 General Powers. The purpose of the Policy Committee and technical staff will be <br /> to develop a Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement for Fire Protection Services and <br /> <br /> 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
