Resolution No. 96-84 <br />Page Two <br /> <br />WHEREAS, MTC requires, as part of the application, a resolution stating the following: <br /> <br /> 1. the commitment of necessary local matching funds (at least 20% for <br /> bicycle and pedestrian projects, and at least 11.4% for all other <br /> projects); and <br /> <br /> 2. that the sponsor understands that the Surface Transportation Program <br /> funding is fixed at the programmed amount, and therefore any cost <br /> increase cannot be expected to be funded with Surface <br /> Transportation Program funds; and <br /> <br /> 3. the assurance of the sponsor to complete the project as modified <br /> from the original application due to reduced Surface Transportation <br /> Program funds, and if approved, as programmed in MTC's TIP. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Pleasanton, by adopting this resolution, does hereby state <br />that: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City of Pleasanton will provide a minimum of $49,130 (11.47%) in <br /> local matching funds. <br /> <br />Section2: The City of Pleasanton understands that the Surface Transportation <br /> Program funding for the project is fixed at $379,203, and that any cost <br /> increases must be funded by the City of Pleasanton from local matching <br /> funds, and the City of Pleasanton does not expect any cost increases to be <br /> funded with Surface Transportation Program funds. <br /> <br />Section 3 The Hopyard Road Resurfacing (Stoneridge Drive to Arroyo Mocho) will <br /> be built as described in this resolution and, if approved, as programmed in <br /> the Metropolitan Transportation Commission's Transportation Improvement <br /> Program. <br /> <br />Section 4: A copy of this resolution will be transmitted to the MTC after the filing of <br /> the application. <br /> <br /> <br />
