CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 96-84 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION COMMITTING THE NECESSARY <br /> LOCAL MATCH FUNDS FOR HOPYARD ROAD <br /> lIESURFACING (STONERIDGE DRIVE TO ARROYO <br /> MOCHO) PROJECT NO. 965022 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Intermodal Surface Transportation and Efficiency Act of 1991 (ISTEA) <br /> (Public Law 102-240, Dec. 18, 1991) created a Surface Transportation <br /> Program (23 U.S.C. 133); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the new Federal reauthorization has continued the Surface Transportation <br /> Program; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the ISTEA, and the regulations promulgated thereunder, eligible <br /> project sponsors wishing to receive Surface Transportation Program grants <br /> for a project shall submit an application first with the appropriate <br /> Metropolitan Transportation Planning Organization (MPO) for review and <br /> inclusion in the MPO's Transportation Improvement Program (TIP); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Transportation Commission is the MPO for the San <br /> Francisco Bay region; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton is an eligible project sponsor for Surface <br /> Transportation Program funds; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has submitted a grant application to MTC for funds <br /> from the Surface Transportation Program in fiscal year 1998 for the <br /> following project: <br /> <br /> Hopyard Road Resurfacing $379,203 <br /> (Stoneridge Drive to Arroyo Mocho) <br /> <br /> <br />
