CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 96-52 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING THE 1996 WEED <br /> ABATEMENT PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZING <br /> STAFF TO PROCEED WITH ABATEMENT OF <br /> WEEDS, RUBBISH OR REFUSE UPON OR IN FRONT <br /> OF CERTAIN DESCRIBED PROPERTIES WITFHN <br /> THE CITY OF PLEASANTON WHICH CONSTITUTE <br /> PUBLIC NUISANCE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of May 7, 1996, Council adopted Resolution No. 96-38 <br /> declaring as a public nuisance all weeds, rubbish or refuse upon or in front <br /> of certain described properties within the City of Pleasanton as more <br /> particularly set forth in Exhibit "A", attached thereto; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Resolution 96-38 was adopted pursuant to the provisions of <br /> Government Code Seelions 39501-39588; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 96-38 designated May 21, 1996, at the hour of 7:00 <br /> p.m., at the Pleasanton City Council Chambers, as the time, date and place <br /> to hear and consider objections to the abatement and removal of weeds, <br /> rubbish or refuse upon or in front of certain described properties within the <br /> City of Pleasanton more particularly set forth in Exhibit "A" to Resolution <br /> No. 96-38; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Fire Inspector was charged with the responsibility to perform the duties <br /> imposed by Government Code Sections 39560-39588, and he did prepare <br /> notices to destroy weeds and remove rubbish and refuse, and did in the time <br /> and manner prescribed by law cause copies of the notice to be <br /> conspicuously posted on or in front of the property where the nuisance <br /> exists; the City did mail written notice of the proposed abatement to all <br /> persons owning property described in Resolution No. 96-38 in the time, <br /> form and manner prescribed by law; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council did hold a public hearing on May 7, 1991, and one <br /> property owner appeared to raise objections; <br /> <br /> <br />
