Operation of the building should be expanded to accommodate
night, evening, and weekend programs for the City's young people.
(Consideration should be given to re-naming the center to generate increased
awareness and identity).

(Budget and time frame to be determined)

· Identify needs and seek funds for improvements to the Amador Theater
(which might include backstage support space, lighting and sound, catwalks,
carpet replacement, orchestra pit enhancement, seating, etc.).

· In conjunction with the City of Pieasanton and Alameda County Fair
Association, continue to explore opportunities for enhancement of
performance and exhibit facilities at the Fairgrounds (e.g., covering of
outdoor Amphitheater to accommodate year-round use).

AMS Planning &Research 7
May 1998
