CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 98-141 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION AMENDING THE MASTER FEE SCHEDULE <br /> (RESOLUTION 92-100) TO INCREASE THE PARK <br /> DEDICATION IN LIEU FEES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Pleasanton Municipal Code Chapter 19.44 requires five acres of parkland for each <br /> 1,000 residents, and permits developers to pay a Park Dedication In Lieu Fee in the <br /> event a sufficient amount ofparkland is not available or appropriate for dedication; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has previously adopted a Master Fee Schedule by Resolution <br /> 92-100, as amended, which set a Park Dedication In Lieu Fee; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in September of 1996, the City Council approved Resolution No. 96-106 which <br /> designated criteria to be used in establishing the Park Dedication In Lieu Fee; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in April of 1998, the City Council directed the Parks and Recreation Commission <br /> to review the Park Dedication In Lieu Fee to determine if the amount of the fee <br /> needed revision; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, an ad hoc committee comprised of members of the Parks and Recreation <br /> Committee, Economic Vitality Advisory Committee, Chamber of Commerce, <br /> development community, and citizens at large was formed to review the designated <br /> criteria and make recommendations; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the ad hoc committee met four times over a two-month period to analyze proposed <br /> park projects, parkland needs of the community at buildout, land sales information, <br /> and in lieu fee altematives, and forwarded their recommendation to the Parks and <br /> Recreation Commission; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Commission, at a noticed public hearing on July 9, 1998, <br /> adopted the recommendation of the ad hoc committee to increase the Park <br /> Dedication In Lieu Fee; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council held a noticed public hearing on October 20, 1998 to consider the <br /> proposed increase to the Park Dedication In Lieu Fee; and <br /> <br /> <br />
