,~,.~.~,.,,.~~, CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 98-128 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION OF APPLICATION BY THE CITY OF <br /> PLEASANTON REQUESTING THE LOCAL AGENCY <br /> FORMATION COMMISSION TO TAKE PROCEEDINGS <br /> FOR THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION NO. 144 (HAPPY <br /> VALLEY) PURSUANT TO THE CORTESE-KNOX LOCAL <br /> GOVERNMENT REORGANIZATION ACT OF 1985 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton desires to initiate proceedings pursuant to the Cortese-Knox <br /> Local Government Reorganization Act of 1985, Division 3, commencing with <br /> Section 56000 of the California Government Code, for the annexation of <br /> approximately 860 acres, Annexation 144 (Happy Valley), and requests initiation <br /> of proceedings thereon; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the territory proposed to be annexed is inhabited, and subject to certain limitations, <br /> a description of the boundaries of the territory is set forth in Exhibit "A", attached <br /> hereto and by this reference incorporated herein; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this proposal is consistent with the sphere of influence for the City of Pleasanton; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the reasons for this proposed annexation are as follows: <br /> <br /> This is a logical extension of the City limits and the City of Pleasanton should <br /> have control over the development of this property. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> I <br /> <br /> <br />
