Section 10. Credit Union <br /> <br /> The City shall provide a voluntary payroll deduction option for those employees who <br /> wish to join the First United Services Credit Union for the purpose of transacting <br /> business with such First United Services Credit Union. <br /> <br />Section 11. Deferred Compensation <br /> <br /> The City shall provide a voluntary deferred compensation plan. <br /> <br />Section 12. Tuition & Book Reimbursement <br /> <br /> Upon approval of the City Manager, management and confidential employees shall be <br /> reimbursed tuition expenses for job related courses successfully completed from <br /> accredited colleges or universities. The maximum amount of tuition reimbursement per <br /> year shall equal the total tuition levied by Hayward State University for the academic <br /> year beginning in the Fall of each year. <br /> <br /> Management and Confidential employees can be reimbursed for books required for <br /> college/university courses approved by the City Manager and successfully completed <br /> Gith a grade of "C" or better. Upon reimbursement. the books shall become the property <br /> of the City. The maximum reimbursement for books an employee may receive shall not <br /> exceed $300.00 per fiscal year. To be reimbursed. the employee must submit a receipt <br /> from the college or university for the book purchase and an official transcript of grades. <br /> <br /> Section 13. Education Incentive Pay <br /> <br /> Regular confidential employees upon reaching the mid-point of their salary grade shall be <br /> eligible for educational incentive pay for educational degrees from accredited colleges or <br /> universities. The degree must be beyond that required by the employee's classification. <br /> The amount of said pay shall be as follows: <br /> <br /> 2-1/2 % AA degree <br /> 5 % BS/BA degree <br /> <br /> Section 14. Automobiles and Automobile Allowances <br /> <br /> 14.1 Automobiles <br /> <br /> The Chief of Police may be provided an automobile for his unrestricted use provided, <br /> however, that he licenses the vehicle and pays for gasoline consumed during personal <br /> usage of the vehicle. The Fire Chief and the Assistant City Manager may be provided a <br /> vehicle for both business and limited personal use as defined by the City Manager. <br /> <br /> 14 <br /> <br /> <br />
