ANNUAL VACATION SIGN-UP <br />Exhibit B <br />1. Annual vacation sign-up will be based on seniority and will be implemented commencing <br />the first pay period after January 1, 1999. Seruority will be defined by the criteria set out <br />in the City's Seniority Sign-Up Program, under the section titled "Seniority". <br />2. All annual vacations will be scheduled for no less than four consecutive work days. <br />3. Personnel who signed up and have been approved for annual vacation will be required to <br />take that time off. Changes will not be considered once annual vacations have been <br />selected unless extenuating circumstances exist, justifying such changes, and meets with <br />the Division Commander's approval. <br />4. ,Sign-ups will occur as outlined in the Seniority Shift Sign-Up Program, under the section <br />titled "Process". <br />Number of Personnel Allowed Off <br />1. The Chief of Police reserves the right to change vacation availability due to injuries, and/or <br />emergencies which may arise. <br />2. After the Special Operations Unit (SOiJ) Commander's a~inual vacation has been <br />approved, SOU sergeant(s) may select annual vacation. No more than one lieutenant or <br />sergeant, assigned to SOU, will be granted annual vacation during the same time period. <br />3. Only one Traffic Officer will be allowed to schedule annual vacation during any given <br />time. <br />4. No more than one sergeant assigned to the Investigation/Services Division will be allowed <br />annual vacation during the same time period. <br />
