Estimated <br />Project Cost Status Description <br />New City Hall/Community Center $50,000 New - With the acquisition of the 3-acre Bernal site from the <br />Site/Design Study FY 98/99 City and County of San Francisco, it is timely to move <br /> ahead with the development of a site plan which will <br /> serve as a basis for the development of a new Civic <br /> Center/Community Center Complex. <br />Contribution to PUSD $2,000,000 New - The Pleasanton Unified School Dislrict was intending <br />Gymnasium FY 98/99 to construct a new single gymnasium at its proposed <br /> middle school in Hacienda Business Park. The <br /> $2,000,000 represents the City's contribution towards <br /> expanding the gymnasium and the City's half <br /> ownership of the facility. The exact additional cost of <br /> the expanded gymnasium has not yet been <br /> determined. <br />Library Expansion/Book $250,000 New - The City is in the process of completing a governance <br />Acquisition FY 99/00 study which may result in the City establishing an <br /> independent municipal library. As part of its <br /> withdrawal from Alameda County, a payment may be <br /> necessary to acquire books, materials and equipment <br /> recently purchased by Alameda County and to make <br /> additional improvements to the facility. At this time, <br /> Final cost for this project has not yet been determined. <br />Other New Funded Projects <br />West Las Positas Interchange - $100,000 New - After completion of the Interchange Study, the <br />Environmental Study FY 99/00 Committee will select an alternative(s) for <br /> environmental review. <br />Improvements to a Community $1,187,500 New - This project involves improvements to the 9.5-acres <br />Park Located on San Francisco FY 01/02 of additional community park planned for the <br />Property San Francisco property. The 20-acre park was <br /> expanded to 29.5-acres in the conceptual agreement <br /> reached this spring. <br />800 MHz Radio Improvements $120,200 New - The City is f'malizing installation of its 800 MHz radio <br /> FY 98/99 project. Since the installation of the system, the need <br /> for additional equipment to improve coverage in <br /> specific areas of the City is needed. This proj.ect <br /> covers all of the additional equipment that is needed <br /> for these improvements. <br />Enhancements to Water System $11,750,00 New - FY Two separate projects have been added to the Water <br /> 0 99 through Expansion and Water Replacement and Improvement <br /> FY 02 categories to address long-term water needs projected <br /> by staff and the City's 1991 Water Replacement <br /> Financing Study. In essence, these two projects create <br /> dedicated reserves to fund anticipated future projects. <br /> <br />As indicated above, staff has segregated those projects that are recommended to be funded with <br />the General FUnd transfer. As mentioned, as part of the FY1996-97 mid-term budget, the <br />Council approved a number of projects from the General Fund Capital Improvement Reserve. <br />As a result, staff is again recommending that revenue from this source be programmed to meet <br />the City's capital needs as part of the mid-term budget. The projects recommended are based on <br />staffs review of existing capital needs for new projects and the review of existing unfunded <br />projects. <br /> <br />SR 98:172 5 <br /> <br /> <br />
