Resolution No. 98-47 <br />Page Three <br /> <br /> 9. Educational Community - A member recommended by the Pleasanton <br /> School Board. <br /> <br /> 10. Environmental Community - A representative from a non-profit group <br /> devoted to environmental issues, which group has an office or a chapter in <br /> Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> 11. City Council - A representative from the Pleasanton City Council. <br /> <br /> 12. Software - A representative from a company or business whose primary <br /> function is software development, service or training, and which has an <br /> office or production plant in Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> 13. Telecommunications - A representative from a company or business whose <br /> primary function is communication services, research and development, or <br /> support, and which has an office located in Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> 14. Biomedical - A representative from a business involved with biomedical <br /> devices, scientific devices and instruments, or materials development and <br /> testing, and which has an office located in Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> 15. Non-Profit Organization - A representative from the board of directors of a <br /> local philanthropic, non-profit organization whose term/appointment in the <br /> organization is expected to be at least two years from the time of <br /> appointment to the Committee. <br /> <br />Section 5: Members shall be appointed to the Committee in accordance with City Resolution <br /> No. 9 1-9 1, A Resolution Establishing Procedures for Appointments to City Boards <br /> and Commissions, except specific groups or organizations as identified by the <br /> Council (i.e., the Chamber of Commerce, the Tri-Valley Convention and Visitors <br /> Bureau, and the School Board) may choose their own representatives, subject to <br /> confirmation by the City Council <br /> <br />Section 6: The Committee shall hold regular meetings as follows: <br /> <br /> A. The Committee shall meet at least quarterly and no more than bi-monthly <br /> with the time and the place and date set by the Committee. <br /> <br /> <br />
