The Committee shall recommend to the City Council the general types of <br /> businesses and/or markets which would be beneficial to the overall <br /> economic condition of the City. The City Council shall take this <br /> information into consideration when determining active attraction and <br /> retention efforts by the Economic Development Manager. <br /> <br />Section 3: The Economic Vitality Committee shall have balanced representation from each of <br /> the following groups. The members shall serve without compensation. Members <br /> shall be reimbursed for appropriate expenses incurred when attending conferences <br /> if budgeted and approved by the City Council. <br /> <br /> 1. Chamber of Commerce - An individual recommended by the Chamber's <br /> Executive Board. <br /> <br /> 2. Commercial Real Estate Brokerage Firm - A representative from a real <br /> estate business specializing in commercial sales with an office located in <br /> Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> 3. Retail Business/Center - A representative from a retail store or center in <br /> Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> 4. Downtown Business - A representative from a business located in the city's <br /> downtown district and recommended by the Pleasanton Downtown <br /> Association. <br /> <br /> 5. Residential Builder - A representative from a residential builder or <br /> developer which has an office located in Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> 6. Financial Institution - A representative from a bank or savings and loan <br /> company located in Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> 7. Citizen at Large - A resident from Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> 8. Tri-Valley Convention and Visitors Bureau - A representative <br /> recommended by the Board of the Tri-Valley Convention and Visitors <br /> Bureau <br /> <br /> <br />
