I 199~ INTERIM AGREEMENT TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL SYSTEM DISCHARGE <br />2 SERVICES BETWEEN EAST BAY DISCHARGERS AUTHORITY AND LIVERMORE- <br />3 AMADOR VALLEY WATER MANAGEMENT AGENCY <br /> <br />4 This Agreement made this day of ,'199~, by <br /> <br />5 and between EAST BAY DISCHARGERS AUTHORITY, A Joint Powers Agency, hereinafter <br />6 referred to as 'EBDA" and LIVERMORE-AMADOR VALLEY WATER MANAGEMENT <br />7 AGENCY, A Joint Powers Agency, hereinafter referred to as "LAVWMA": <br />8 WHEREAS, EBDA is a Joint Powers Agency comprised of the City of Hayward, <br />9 City of San Leandro, Union Sanitary District, Oro Loma Sanitary District, and Castro <br />10 Valley Sanitary District ~~~~~t; and <br />11 WHEREAS, EBDA operates and maintains an interceptor-outfall system extending <br />12 from Southern Alameda County to a deep-water discharge to San Francisco Bay which <br />13 receives and discharges treated wastewater from the five political subdivisions <br />14 comprising EBDA in compliance with federal and state water quality requirements; and <br />15 WHEREAS, LAVWMA is a Joint Powers Agency comprised of the City of <br />16 Uvermore, City of Pleasanton~ and Dublin San Ramon Services District; and <br />17 WHEREAS, LAVWMA exports its effluent for Bay disposal through connection with <br />18 EBDA's interceptor at a point about one mile north of EBDA's Oro Loma Pump Station; <br />19 and <br />_>0 WHEREAS, LAVWMA member agencies have existing capadty rights in EBDA's <br />_>1 system which are lirm capacity dghts of 19.72 million gallons per day (MG,D) and 1.28 <br />>_2.
