authorizes an additional 20.2 MGD of interruptible capacity, in addition to the firm
capacity of 19.72 MGD and interruptible capacity of 1.28 MGD provided in the existing
agreements.
1.2 "Interruptible flow basis" means that all LAVWMA instantaneous flow rates
exceeding 19.72 MGD are restricted to the difference between the EBDA pipeline's
maximum capacity of approximately 189.1 MGD and the actual total combined
instantaneous flow from all E°~A member agencies plus LAVWMA's firm capacity of
19.72 MGD of instantaneous rate of flow. This additional flow is the interruptible capacity.
The interruptible capacity is variable and dynamic as the actual flow rates change
continuously throughout any given hour, day and season. As an example, for the total
system capacity of 189.1 MGD, when the combined EBDA member agency instantaneous
flow reaches 169.4 MGD, all LAVWMA instantaneous flow beyond 19.72 MGD shall be
..~ .
interruptedt subjectao .EBDA's ~rghtto allow additianal' use of any unused capacity during
short cluratiorl. peak Rows as pFOVided to the existing agreements.
1.3 The parties shall cooperate in developing a separate operating procedure
that fully describes operation, responsibilities, and communication procedures during wet
weather flow conditions such that both systems are protected and that spills and/or
overflows are prevented. Said operating procedure shall not in any way modify the terms
and conditions set forth in this Agreement.
1.4 S~ttbject io Pari~grapl7 &7; #~his Agreement sets forth the entire
understanding among the parties concerning LAVWMA's discharge of an additional 20.2
MGD interruptible flow into the EBDA system.
r rev. o per point mtng o c o er ,
