the vehicle in storage, satisfactory proof of <br /> current registration The agency which caused the <br /> vehicle to be stored may, in its discretion, issue <br /> a notice to appear for the registration violation, <br /> if the two days immediately following the <br /> impoundment are weekend days or holidays. <br /> <br /> b. At everystorage facility there shall be posted <br /> in a conspicuous place a notice to the effect <br /> that a vehicle placed in storage pursuant to <br /> Section 22850 may be released only on proof of <br /> current registration or, at the discretion of <br /> the impounding agency, upon the issuance of a <br /> notice to appear for the registration violation <br /> by the local agency which caused the vehicle to <br /> be stored, specifying the name and telephone <br /> number of that local agency." <br /> <br />10. StOplampS. Taillamps, Reflectors (24600, 24603, <br /> 24607). In addition to required lighting equipment, <br /> tow trucks may be equipped with additional <br /> stoplamps, taillamps, and rear reflectors which may <br /> be mounted not lower than 15 inches nor higher than <br /> the maximum allowable vehicle height and as far <br /> forward as the rearmost portion of the driver's seat <br /> in the rearmost position. Such additional taillamps <br /> shall be lighted whenever the headlamps are lighted. <br /> <br />11. TOw TruCks and TOwed Vehicles (24605). "(a) A tow <br /> truck or an automobile dismantler's tow vehicle used <br /> to tow a vehicle shall be equipped with and carry a <br /> taillamp, a stoplamp, turn signal lamps, and a <br /> portable electric extension cord for use in <br /> displaying the lamps on the rear of the towed <br /> vehicle. <br /> <br /> b. Whenever a tow truck or an automobile <br /> dismantler's tow vehicle is towing a <br /> vehicle and stoplamps and turn signal <br /> lamps cannot be lighted and displayed ~ <br /> the rear of the towed vehicle, the <br /> operator of the tow truck or the <br /> automobile dismantler's tow vehicle shall <br /> by means of an extension cord display to <br /> the rear a stoplamp and turn signal lamps <br /> mounted on the towed vehicle, except as <br /> provided in subdivision (c). During <br /> darkness, if a taillamp on the towed <br /> vehicle cannot be lighted, the tow truck <br /> or the automobile dismantler's tow vehicle <br /> operator shall by means of an extension <br /> cord display to the rear a taillamp <br /> <br /> -B7- <br /> <br /> <br />
