Commissioner Blank proposed the following amendments to the motion. <br />1_ that the use permit be restricted to the existing four chickens. and a new permit be <br />required for additional chickens; and <br />2_ that staff establish a mech auism for ucighbors to make co mpla ints_ <br />3_ that Condition of Approval No_ 4 be clarified to state that "enclosed space" meant <br />fenced backyard~ <br />Commissioners Arkin and Fox accepted the proposed amendments. <br />Commissioner Pearce noted that while the City Council was anticipating making this a permitted <br />use, its adoption was not a certainty. She was concerned that by allowing people to have only <br />their existing chickens, people would be encouraged to gat their chickens and then come in for a <br />permit after the fact. <br />Chairperson Maas believed that this was coincide~ital with the Bcckers and this family having <br />tour chickens; the next applicant may have two existing chickens- <br />ROLL CALL VOTE: <br />AYES= Commissioners Arkin, Blank, Fox, Maas and Roberts_ <br />NOES: None. <br />ABSTAIN: None. <br />RECUSED: Nonc_ <br />ABSEN"1~_ None_ <br />Resolution No. PC-2005-49 was entered and adopted as motioned. <br />The Planning G'om mission recessed for a break at 8:23 p.m. <br />Chairperson Maas reconvened the meeting at 8.35 p.m. <br />Chairperson Maas noted that the neighbors in attendance for Item 6.b._ PREV-508_ Flexxon Oneratin~_ <br />Ltd_, had requested that this item be heard before Item 8.a. PDR-489 Nordstrom's and The Mills <br />~sroun; the applicants for Item 8. a. agreed. <br />b_ PREV-SOS. F-exxon Operating. Ltd_ <br />Work session to review and receive comments on an application fora 50,000-square-foot <br />coxnmerci al center to be located in the Ruby Hill developn-icnt on the southwest corner of <br />Vineyard Avenue and Isabel Avenue State Route 84~.
