Ms. Nerland advised that was an issue that they could discuss, especially as it relates to <br />the Brown Act. <br />Chairperson Maas suggested that the Commissioners perform thaw site visits at different <br />times. <br />Ms. Nerland noted that this issue could. be agendized for the next meting when <br />C oir~iTissioner Arkin could be in attendanec_ She added that there were safety and legal <br />issues surrounding site visits unaccompanied by the property owner_ <br />1'he Planning Commission determined that special meetings had not been brought up that <br />often in the past and decided to address the matter as they are requested by applicants. <br />Fencing on Foothill Foothill Corridor Overlav District <br />Chairperson Maas noted that there had been a solid. wood fence erected on the west side <br />of Foothill (near the sports courts for the past nine months_ Although the Foothill <br />Corridor Overlay District had not been completed, it was her understand that there was <br />only supposed to be mesh or wrought iron fence. Shc inquired whether the property <br />o~nni ers ware aware of this. <br />G' astl awood <br />in response to an inquiry by Chairperson Maas whether Castlewood was under County <br />control, Ms_ Decker cons-armed that it was_ She noted that she saw a home being built <br />near there that was fairly high up on the hillside. She inquired where the City boundary <br />was with respect to the location. She requested that staff confirm that everything was <br />being done properly. <br />Commissioner Roberts noted that some houses under County control had been built on <br />lop of hills. <br />October 12. 2005 Agenda <br />Commissioner Blar~_k expressed concern about the size o[-the agenda on October 12, <br />2005, including the chicken item and Public Facilities Element of the General Plan_ <br />Ms_ Decker advised it was unlikely that the agenda would remain the same as presented <br />in the staff report and that statY was monitoring the agenda so that there would be <br />approximately three public hearings per meeting. <br />ZonintT Administrator Decisions <br />Commissioner Blank requested the staff to investigate the possibility of the Planning <br />Comn-iission getting earlier visibility to the loci siotzs of the Zoning Administrator when a <br />City Council meeting occurs before a Planning Commission meeting.
