In response to an inquiry by Commissioner l=ox regarding the date of the approval letter <br />and whether the Happy Valley residents would be able to look at a draft, Nlr_ Pavan <br />replied that the plans have been made available because the initial notice stated the plans <br />were available for examination in the Planning Department He noted that copies of the <br />drawings had been made available to Mr_ Close and Ms_ Kawaihau_ <br />Vanessa Kawaihau, 871 Sycamore Road, noted that Mr. Pavan had made the drawings <br />and color renderings available to her through email noti fi3cation to the 40 property owners <br />in the Happy Valley area. T o date, two people have asked to see there. Shc toted that <br />because of the small size of Pleasanton's police force, traffi3c enfibrcement that is needed <br />on Vasco Road, Greenville Road, and the more heavily traveled county roads was <br />difficult to enforce" She noted that the Highway Patrol had come out several times, but <br />preferred not to do so. She offered to write a letter to the Highway Patrol. <br />Ms" Nerland advised that with respect to county roads, the agreement reached many years <br />ago was that enforcement of criminal violations in the unincorporated areas would be <br />done by the Sheriff and traffic matters would be handled by the CHP_ However, G'ity of <br />Pleasanton police otf3cers may issue tickets and enforce violations on any publicly <br />mat ntainad roads. Unlike the private road scenario discussed at the last meeting, any <br />traffic violation on a county road seen by City police officers may be enforced by therri_ <br />She noted that enforcement of County roads was not under the City's jurisdiction. <br />Nonetheless, because the golf course will be part of regular patrols and to get to the golf <br />course, one must travel on county roads, she understood firom the Police Department that <br />they expect that those roads will have a greater police presence than they have had in the <br />past" <br />4. REVISIONS AND OMISSIONS TO THE AGENDA <br />Ms. Decker advised that Item 6.d. PUD-38 L nn Jansen would be continued to a future <br />Commission meeting- She noted that the applicant had been working since last fall into <br />spring of 2005 to reach agreements with adjacent property owners- The last agreement <br />was with the Altieri-Marshall properties to the west of the site, and those conditions were <br />included in the most recent Commission packet in April" Since then, the applicant has <br />been working witkt the Jones family to review and revisit some of the conditions and <br />agreements- Several items still need attention, and staff suggested to the applicant that it <br />would be appropriate to continue the item" <br />5_ MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br />There were none. <br />6_ PUBLIC HEARINGS AND OTHER MATTERS <br />a_ PDR-421.
