4_ REVISIONS AND OMISSIONS TO TAE AGENDA <br />Ms_ Decker advised that the application for Item 6_a__ PAP-77_ Garv and Sylvia Seaborn_ <br />~pellants CPADR-1225_ Nickv and Melodi Grice) has been withdrawn by the appellants <br />following an agreement between the applicants and themselves_ She added that Item 6_d__ <br />PUD-32_ Daniel and Belinda Sarich, has been continued to the July 13, 2005 meeting at the <br />request of the applicants_ Ms_ Decker then requested that Item 7_a_ Residential Densit be <br />discussed prior to Item 6 e Review of the City's Ca»ital hnnrovement Program, as Mr_ Steve <br />Bocian, Deputy City Manager, who is scheduled to present the staff report, is making the same <br />presentation at the City Council budget meeting being held this evening_ <br />5_ MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br />There were none. <br />6_ PUBLIC HEARINGS AND OTHER MATTERS <br />a. PAP-77_ Garv and Sylvia S¢aborn_ Aan¢llauts (PADR-1225. Nickv and M¢lodi <br />Gric¢) <br />Appeal of the Zoning Administrator's approval of an administrative design review to <br />construct an approximately 742-square-foot second-story addition to the front and rear of <br />the existing two-story residence located at 31 1 O Montpellier Court. Zoning for the <br />--- property is R-1-6,500 (Single-Family Residential District_ <br />This appeal was withdrawn by the appellant; therefore, the item was removed from the agenda. <br />b_ PSDR-237. UG Pleasanton. L. P_ <br />Application for sign design review approval to modify Condition No_ 1 O of PDR-394 and <br />to establish a sign program for the commercial building located at 3550 Stanley <br />Boulevard. Zoning for the property is Pi_J D-C (Planned Unit Development <br />Commercials District_ <br />Ms_ Decker presented the staff report and stated that this type of application would not ordinarily <br />come before the Commission; however, when this item came before the Commission on July 14, <br />2004, the Commission approved Option 3, a sandblasted. redwood sign face with external <br />gooseneck illumination. She noted that the applicant is now requesting that the Commission <br />reconsider its decision and approve Option 1, an internally illuminated channel letter sign similar <br />to existing business signs within the surrounding area, to provide potential tenants additional <br />visibility as the units are set back approximately 120 feet from Stanley Boulevard with frontage <br />landscaping between. the building and the street. Ms_ Decker indicated that staff supports this <br />change. <br />Ms_ Decker indicated that as part of the sign program for the building, the applicant has further <br />requested that a monument sign be placed at the entry to the building along Stanley Boulevard to <br />__.. provide signage for each tenant in the building. She added that the proposed tenant signs for the <br />PLANNING COMMISSION MIN C_1TES June 8, 2005 Page 3 of 15 <br />
