Commissioner Arkin stated that he had talked to Mr_ Bocian about this and that Mr. Bocian <br />explained that this was actually included in the costs for some construction already to be done in <br />the Downtown area- <br />Commissioner Fox noted that the General Plan needs to be consistent with State law- She <br />expressed concern that Item Q, Gingerbread Preschool Playground Renovation and Expansion on <br />page 50 is not being funded- She noted that the Gingerbread School had received $ 12,000 in <br />donations for the design of its renovation and now there is no funding to actually implement it_ <br />She indicated that she would like the City to £nd the fiiiids to implement this to comply with <br />Consumer Product Safety Commission <CPSC) standards, just as it has done with the renovation <br />of all the City playgrounds. <br />Commissioners Maas and Arkin concurred that these were good points and would b¢ noted on <br />the minutes. <br />Commissioner Roberts noted that on. page iv, the Happy Valley Bypass Road Development has a <br />$ 1 million funding for 2004-05. She inquired if that was the amount the City was planning to <br />fund and the rest would be funded by the developers. <br />Commissioner Maas commented that the Council had removed the monument signs to the City <br />entries from the CIP_ She expressed disappointment to see that these signs had to be deleted- <br />Commissioner Fox noted that the City had hired consultants to design the monument signs and <br />- now the signs have been deleted- <br />THE PUBLIC HEARING WAS OPENED. <br />Vanessa Kawaihau, 871 Sycamore Road, stated that $1 million was allocated by the City to <br />construct that portion o£the Bypass Road that would run through Spotorno property and that <br />Greenbriar Homes would construct some portions of the Road_ She added that there were funds <br />for those portions of the Road along Bridle Creek, Sycamore Creek, Sycamore Heights, and the <br />S unol-Sycamore Creek as well- <br />THE PUBLIC HEARING WAS CLOSED. <br />Commissioner Roberts moved to make the I3nding that the Capital Improvement Program <br />For Fiscal Years 2005-2006 through 2008-2009 is consistent with the Pleasanton G¢n¢ral <br />Plaia_ <br />Commissioner Arkin seconded the motion. <br />ROLL CALL VOTEo <br />ALL AYES= Commissioners Arkin, Blank, Fox, Maas, and Roberts. <br />NOES.
