<br />/' <br /> <br /> <br />4" <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />pLEASANTONo <br /> <br />City Council <br />Staff Report <br /> <br />March 7, 2006 <br />Public Works Department <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />GENERAL PLAN EIR AND 2005 BASELINE TRAFFIC <br />REPORT -- AUTHORIZE CONTRACTS FOR TRAFFIC <br />DATA COLLECTION SERVICES <br /> <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br />Staff recommends that the City Council take the following action at <br />the meeting of March 7, 2006. <br /> <br />1. Approve a contract with All Traffic Data (A TD) for the <br />collection of traffic and pedestrian count data at 51 intersections <br />for a cost not to exceed $25,000. <br /> <br />2. Approve a contract with Wiltec for the collection of traffic and <br />pedestrian count data at 30 intersections for a cost not to exceed <br />$12,000. <br /> <br />3. Authorize extra work by ATD and Wiltec for the collection of <br />traffic and pedestrian count data at 50 additional intersections <br />for a cost not to exceed $30,000. <br /> <br />4. Authorize the City Manager to execute the contracts described <br />above. <br /> <br />SUMMARY: <br /> <br />A new 2005 Baseline Traffic Report needs to be prepared for use <br />in evaluating the impacts of proposed new developments. The <br />Baseline Traffic Report will analyze traffic congestion levels at 131 <br />intersections throughout the City based on existing development, <br />approved development and buildout of the General Plan. <br /> <br />SR 06:057 <br />Page 1 of 4 <br />
