Urban Stormwater Design Requirements <br />68. The protect shall comply with the Alameda C7ountywide NPDES Ycnrxit #CA50029831, a <br />copy of which is available at the City offices- <br />69. The following requirements shall be incorporated into the project: <br />a. The project developer shall submit a final grading and drainage plan prepared by <br />a licensed civil engineer depicting all final grades and on-site drainage control <br />measures including bio-swales. The landscape areas facing Wyoming Street and <br />Utah Street shall be designed, graded, and planted to function as vegetative bio- <br />swales to pretreat this project's stormwater runoff before it enters the City's storm <br />drain system. Site grading shall be designed to drain a much of the site as <br />possible into the bioswales_ The bioswale designs shall be part of the building <br />permit plan set and shall be reviewed and approved by the City b'ngineer and C7ity <br />Landscape Architect prior to the issuance of any building permits- <br />h. The project developer shall install a structural control in the drying area of this <br />project to capture and treat the runoff. The applicant shall submit the structural <br />control to the City engineer for review and approval with the building permit plan <br />set prior to issuance of a building pet:-x xxit. <br />c_ The project developer shall submit sizing designs criteria to treat stoni-twater <br />runoff at the time of plan submittal. <br />d. Landscaping shall be designed to minimize irrigation and runoff, promote surface <br />infiltration where appropriate, and minimize the use of fertilizers and pesticides <br />that can contribute to stormwater pollution- <br />Structures shall be designed to discourage the occurrence and entry ol'pests <br />into buildings, thus minimizing the need for pesticides- <br />• Where feasible, landscaping shall be designed and operated to treat <br />stormwater runoff.
