<br /> <br />4D <br /> <br />pLEASANTONc <br /> <br />City Council <br />Staff Report <br /> <br />January 17,2006 <br />Public Works Department <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />ACCEPTANCE OF PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE RUBY <br />HILL 16" WATER LINE (PHASE III), CIP PROJECT NO. 041014 <br /> <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br />Staff recommends that the City Council take the following action at the <br />meeting of January 17, 2006: <br /> <br />I. Accept the improvements for the subject project. <br /> <br />2. Authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion for the subject <br />project. <br /> <br />3. Authorize final payment to D & D Pipeline, in the amount of$I,378.35. <br /> <br />4. Authorize payment of the retention in the amount of$19,805.28 to D & <br />D Pipeline thirty days after filing the Notice of Completion. <br /> <br />SUMMARY: <br /> <br />On July 17, 2005, the City Council awarded a construction contract to <br />D & D Pipeline of San Francisco, in the amount of $188,400. The project <br />consisted of installing approximately 1400 LF of 16" and 20 LF of 12" <br />water lines and necessary fittings to enhance the reliability of City water <br />service to the Ruby Hill community and the Katz Winery in the Vineyard <br />A venue corridor. Construction of this project is complete and is ready for <br />acceptance. <br /> <br />Honorable Mayor and Members of the City Council: <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />On July 17, 2005, the City Council awarded a contract to D & D Pipeline of San Francisco, in <br />the amount of $188,400.
