Adopt the ordinance to modify the current City of Pleasanton
Municipal Code for Residential Permit Parking. The modification to
the Code will eliminate the time of day, day of week, and time of
year restrictions.

2. Adopt a resolution to establish a four-hour parking zone on the east
side of Santa Rita Road from the Alisal Elementary School exit
driveway and extend to Alvarado Street.

3. Adopt a resolution to establish a residential permit parking zone on
the east side of Santa Rita Road from the Alisal Elementary School
exit driveway and extending to Alvarado Street. This Permit Parking
Zone shall exempt the residents within the zone from the 4-hour
parking zone restriction.

SUMMARY:

Residents with homes along the Santa Rita Frontage Road have been
experiencing a significant increase in the parking of vehicles for sale for
extended periods of time. At the November I, 2005, City Council
meeting, this matter was heard and a decision was made to install "four-
hour parking" signs from Francisco Street to Alvarado Street.
