<br /> <br /> <br />4L <br /> <br />City Council <br />Staff Report <br /> <br />January 3, 2006 <br />Public Works Department <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />ACCEPTANCE OF <br />SEALING OF <br />PROJECT NO. 045004 <br /> <br />PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS <br />VARIOUS CITY <br /> <br />FOR SLURRY <br />STREETS, <br /> <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br />Staff recommends that the City Council take the following action at the <br />meeting of January 3, 2006: <br /> <br />1. Accept the improvements for this project. <br /> <br />2. Authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion for the subject <br />project. <br /> <br />3. Authorize f"mal payment to Valley Slurry Seal Company in the amount <br />of $533.93. <br /> <br />4. Authorize payment of the retention in the amount of $23,095.97 to <br />Valley Slurry Seal Company thirty days after filing the Notice of <br />Completion. <br /> <br />5. Authorize the City Manager to transfer the remammg balance of <br />$18,163.33 from the subject project, CIP No. 045004 (Annual Slurry <br />Sealing) to CIP No. 045003 (Annual Resurfacing of Various City <br />Streets). <br /> <br />SUMMARY: <br /> <br />Construction of the subject project is complete and is ready for <br />acceptance. The subject project consisted of improving the roadway <br />surface on various City streets by applying Type II black volcanic <br /> <br />SR 06:024 <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />
