II :.:::.:, . liT pLEASANTONc 4J City Council Staff Report January 3, 2006 Assistant City Manager SUBJECT: APPROVAL OF A LEASE AGREEMENT WITH THE AMADOR- LIVERMORE HISTORICAL VALLEY SOCIETY FOR CITY PROPERTY LOCATED AT 603 MAIN STREET STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the City Council approve the attached Lease Agreement ~ith the Amador-Livermore Valley Historical Society for the City uwned building at 603 Main Streeto SUMMARY: This report recommends the City approve a Lease Agreement ~ith the Amador-Livermore Valley Historical Society (Historical Society) for the City o~ned building located at 603 Main Street. The building has been occupied since 1984 by the Historical Society for the purpose of operating the Museum on Main Streeto The Lease Agreement has a term of five years and anticipates continued use for this purposeo Honorable Mayor and Members of'the City Council: The City uwns a 4,716 square foot building at 603 Main Streeto Built in 1914 ~ith funds donated by the Pleasanton's Women's Improvement Club, it once housed the old To"Wn Hall, the Police Department, and the first free library in the City of Pleasanton.
