III ;;i;; I <br /> <br />pLEASANTON.. <br /> <br />41 <br /> <br />City Council <br />Staff Report <br /> <br />January 3, 2006 <br />Public Works Department <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF PRE-ANNEXATION AGREEMENT AND <br />APPROVAL FOR SE~R AND "W"ATER CONNECTIONS FOR 849 <br />SYCAMORE ROAD (SILVEIRA) <br /> <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br />Staff recommends that the City Council take the follo~ing action at the <br />meeting of January 3, 2006: <br /> <br />10 Authorize connection of the Silveira parcel located at 849 Sycamore <br />Road (APN 949-0006-008-01) to the City sanitary se~er and vvater <br />systems, provided all connection ~ork is done to the satisfaction of the <br />City Engineer and all costs are bome by the property o~ner, and the <br />proposed extension of City services is approved by LAFCo. <br /> <br />20 Approve the pre-annexation agreement betvveen Silveira and the City of <br />Pleasanton, and authorize the City Manager to execute the agreemento <br /> <br />30 File an application vvith LAFCo for the extension of City services to the <br />Silveira parcel. <br /> <br />SUMMARY <br /> <br />The property ovvners of 849 Sycamore Road are requesting City ~ater and <br />se~er services to serve their existing residence located on Sycamore Road, <br />outside the City limits 0 The property o~ners are requesting connection to <br />the City ~ater system due to the poor quality of the vvell ~ater in the area. <br />They are also requesting connection to the City sevver system to eliminate <br />their septic tank and leach fieldo Alameda County, Department of <br />Environmental Health, restricts repairs or installation of ne~ septic systems <br />~hen a sanitary sevver main is ~ithin 200 feet of the propertyo <br /> <br />SR:06:008 <br />Page 1 of3 <br />
