_ Commissioner Kameny noted that on a two-lane street, one lane full of parked cars was a <br />major disruption to the flow of traf£c_ <br />Mr. Iserson noted that it was common near schools for that type of congestion to occur, <br />because of the lack of school buses. He noted that it was a difficult circulation problem. <br />He noted that the Police Department could enforce illegal turns, acid that the Traffic <br />Department could work with the school to develop workable solutions or improvements~ <br />Commissioner Maas believed that the school impact fees were meant to mitigate these <br />types of problems. Shc believed that the school should have some responsibility for these <br />congestion problems- <br />Commissioner Roberts inquired whether consideration of the General Plan was scheduled. <br />for September or October. <br />Cotrimissioner Maas suggested that a Thursday meeting the same week of the regular <br />Planning Commission meeting would be feasible_ <br />Mr. Iserson noted that he would communicate the request to Wayne Rasmussen. <br />4. Future Planning Calendar <br />G'ommissioner Roberts inquired whether the planned gas station on Bernal Avenue was <br />located where a grocery store was intended to be located_ <br />Mr_ Iserson noted that it was within the Stanley Business Park area, and that it was not on <br />the side of the road where a supermarket had been discussed- <br />b.
